Camp Kudzu Fall, Winter & Spring Programs
![]()
Camp Kudzu offers a variety of programs throughout the year. Favorites include:
• Family Camp Weekends, offered in the fall and in the spring for approximately 34 families.
Every family has its own room or cabin, all have heat/air and their own bathrooms.
Really good meals are shared in the dining hall. Each table in the dining hall has carb counts
for all menu items. These weekends offer time to relax as a family, learn from others with a lot of
experience with diabetes, and a chance to meet new and supportive friends.
• Teen Girls Retreat, offered in the late fall for girls ages 13-17. It’s just the break a girl needs!
The weekend is staffed retreat with great role models, mentors and totally cool people. Clinicians and
endocrinologists are an important part of our program. Activities range from outdoor challenges
(weather permitting) to artistic projects to time spent chilling and thinking about life.
• Winter Ski Event! Our newest weekend program features travel from Atlanta to Maggie Valley
for a weekend of ski instruction, skiing and good times for teens (boys and girls) with diabetes.
We’ll get you outfitted with boots and skis. You don’t have to know how to ski. And our terrific
volunteers will be there to help guide you through new questions you may have about managing diabetes
while outdoors and on the snow.
