Here's our wish list!

Support Camp Kudzu

There are many ways to support Camp Kudzu!

Our donors and event participants give the gift of life to deserving children who benefit from Camp Kudzu's programs. Camp Kudzu is grateful for generous individuals who donate via check, credit card or gifts of stock, for those who volunteer, sponsor and participate in its events, and for those who host their own events to benefit the children we serve.

Camp Kudzu's "own" events are:
• The Sugar Bowl and Laser Tag Tournament - February 26, 2012 (click here for more information)
• Kudzu Cup Fore! Kids - May 7, 2012 (click here for more information)
• The Camp Kudzu Benefit Luncheon - Fall, 2012 (click here for more information)

We are proud of our Compass Society members, individuals who've stated their personal intent to donate significant sums annually to chart the future of Camp Kudzu and to make its programs available to children and teens living with diabetes. Please refer to our Compass Society page for more information.

Please check out our Third Party Events page to learn about what's happening around town and across Georgia to support Camp Kudzu. We'll be happy to hear about ideas for YOUR event too! If you'd like to share an idea with us, please call Amber Medley, Development Director, at 404.250.1811.

Third Party Events

Many friends of Camp Kudzu choose to have events of their own to raise money in support of our mission. Events have ranged from golf tournaments, poker games, Pro-Am tennis events, sales of Kudzu Leaves, sales of crocheted items, dress down days at businesses and schools to penny collections. If you have an event in mind, THANK YOU. In order to help you plan, we have Guidelines and a Third Party Event policy that we’d like to share with you. Third Party Event Policy and Application.

More than 3,000 Georgia children live with type 1 (juvenile) diabetes, a disease for which there is no cure. Young people need two things to deal with diabetes: knowledge to control their chronic disease and hope for tomorrow. Camp Kudzu provides both, and gives young people the power of knowing that they are not alone.

A quality week of camp, including lodging, food, medical supplies, recreation and education is costly -- valued at more than $2,400 per camper. The campers' families are asked to contribute a portion of the camp expense, if they can afford to pay. Contributions from the community allow Camp Kudzu to serve families of limited financial resources and ensure that no child is turned away because of the family's inability to pay. Donations and grants also allow Camp Kudzu to provide year-round programs for children with type 1 diabetes and their families.

Children with diabetes can never take a vacation from the disease. But there is now a place for them to learn and grow with other children facing the same struggles. And now, you can help. Please consider joining the Camp Kudzu family with a tax-deductible donation.

Contributions may be sent to:
