Camp Kudzu is excited to announce the Kudzu Challenge Series, our newest signature event! Through a combination of events and gatherings hosted by Kudzu, events, peer-to-peer fundraisers, and community-organized events we hope to empower YOU and inspire others!

Whether you join your local 5k run or participate in a Kudzu organized event, we want to support your fundraising efforts to benefit Camp Kudzu! This year we are kicking off the Kudzu Challenge Series with 20/20 Challenges. We are challenging you to pick an activity of your choice (running, swimming, baking, or anything hobby/activity you love) and create a fundraiser in support of Camp Kudzu!

These important and much needed community-lead fundraisers will ensure Camp Kudzu has a bright future ahead! HELP supporting our vision of creating a supportive community where life with T1D is without limitations – everywhere Kudzu grows!

A food street festival hosted by Kudzu community members in the Tucker, GA. Proceeds from the event are donated to Camp Kudzu!

Spin For Kids

Every year of our Kudzu Community Members join the Camp Twin Lakes Spin For Kids Cycling event to raise money for Camp Kudzu.

A few of our community members get together to iron clothes for Kudzu. A few loads of laundry equals big bucks for Camp Kudzu. 

How to get involved:

It’s as simple as 1-2-3! This is a challenge for everyone – all ages and abilities. You can take part on your own or with a group of friends and family.  

Think of any activity based around the numbers 20 or 2.0 and complete it by Dec 31st, before 2020 ends!

WHY 20/20? This year has been full of challenging for everyone and we wanted to put a fun spin on this number as we look to the future. Be as creative! Your challenge could be walking 2020 steps a day or run 1 mile a day for 20 days. All ideas are welcomed and we will support Camp Kudzu and build awareness for T1D.

Draw 20 Kudzu leaves, bake 202 cookies for a bake sale, juggle for 20 sec, climb 2020 steps. It’s your challenge!  You can even do your challenge from home! The main goal is to get active, have fun, and raise as much as you can to support Camp Kudzu! 

Step 1Choose your challenge  

Decide on how you are going to get involved.  Run 20 miles or walk 2.0 miles? A 20 song danceathon? Shoot 20 basketball hoops?  

Step 2: Take Part  

Complete the Interest Form and create a  personalized “Just Giving “Fundraising page and collect donations. OR simply complete your own challenge and donate.  

Step 3: Donate, share and nominate  

Once you’ve donated, share your challenge on social media and nominate your friends and family to get involved and help support Camp Kudzu.  

Why Support Camp Kudzu? 

As you may know, Camp Kudzu and many other organizations have had to postpone or cancel their fundraising events due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Although we are hopeful to host more in-person events safely like Sugar Bowl again soon–we are currently needing additional support to ensure we can continue to offer year-round programs and gatherings of all kinds. With your support, we can maintain our vital services and programs for our Kudzu Community.  

Camp Kudzu needs your support more than ever. We are striving harder to keep the T1D community covered now and in the years to come, as we grow in new ways and continue to offer our year-round programs. It’s never been more important to come together and show how much Camp Kudzu means to you and your family!
