The 13th annual Kudzu Cup Fore! Kids will take place on Monday, May 22, 2017 at the beautiful Country Club of the South. Enjoy 18 holes of exceptional golf on the world-class championship golf course and end the day with a post-tournament celebration, complete with awards and prizes. This sellout golf tournament brings together over 100 golfers from the philanthropic and corporate community in Georgia to raise funds and make a positive difference in the lives of children living with type 1 diabetes. It is at camp that these kids will learn the essential skills needed to effectively manage their diabetes for years to come, learning to not just live with type 1 diabetes, but THRIVE with type 1 diabetes.

On November 15, 2016, Camp Kudzu’s 9th annual Benefit Luncheon gathered 400 of Atlanta’s most influential philanthropists and supporters of the diabetes community and resulted in record-breaking event fundraising. More than $270,000 was raised to help fund the educational diabetes management programs that Camp Kudzu provides to more than 700 children each year! With the support of a generous community like the one that gathered for the Benefit Luncheon, Camp Kudzu works to answer the needs of the diabetes community, one camper at a time. This year we paid tribute to and honored one of our diabetes heroes, Chris Cann.

In addition to honoring Chris Cann, Usher Raymond IV was presented with the 1st annual Light the Way Award. Usher, like Chris, delighted guests by sharing personal stories regarding the importance of Camp Kudzu in the lives of children living with diabetes. Each year, Camp Kudzu will continue to recognize a recipient who is committed to helping the diabetes community and our campers with this award.

Proceeds from the Benefit Luncheon support Camp Kudzu’s programs for Georgia’s children and teens living with type 1 diabetes.
